Union Castle Cargo Liner: This model is based on a pair of fast cargo liners built for the Union-Castle Line in the mid-1960s. It is to an approximate scale of 1:156 which gives it a length of 116cm (45.5 inches) and a weight of 5.3 kg (11.5 pounds). Construction is from Balsawood, Lite Ply and conventional Plywood.
Suitable for tug boats and similar models. Finely detailed true-scale design. It rotates horizontally and vertically. The crane hook can be raised and lowered. Consists of 13 different injection-moulded parts. 60mm high with 160mm reach
The drawings described in this list have been produced to meet the needs of those wishing to build authentic scale models, and every care has been taken to ensure accurate detail. In the case of named ships they have been compiled from the original builders' plans and specifications, personal survey of the actual vessel, or both. Where possible, any changes made during the life of the ship have been noted on the drawings. The range mostly consists of 3 masted Clippers, smaller single and two masted British merchant vessels and a few 17th, 18th and 19th century sailing warships.
