The Liverpool twin screw class were a more powerful development of the earlier design on boat. Apart from the twin props housed in the scalloped tunnels and a slightly difference in windscreen shape, the two classes looked identical. The class continued to be built until 1954 with the final boat Chieftain being withdrawn from service in 1982. The design was superseded by the Rother class at the same time.

Side fishing steam trawler, scale 1:48, overall length 49.5in by 7.5in beam. Single screw, ideal for steam power. Built in 1948 by Cook Welton & Gemmell he was operated by the Kingston Steam Trawling Co Ltd Hull until 1966, when she was sold to Hellyer Brothers Ltd Hull. The Vessel sank in gale force winds off Iceland in 1968 with the loss of all hands.

PLEASE NOTE: The mould used to make this hull has a number of chips which will show as raised areas on the hull. These are purely cosmetic and just require sanding out.
