The 9 ft stereoscopic FQ2 Rangefinder on MQI and MQI2 mountings 1918-21. The rangefinder for smaller units was introduced aboard V class fleet destroyers from 1917. It was gradually improved over the years. The MQ12 mounting of 1921 is drawn in detail. For surface use only it was re-introduced for Algerine Class Fleet Minesweepers in 1941.
